Aiyo... no class again today... so it is four consecutive days without any class, and coupled with tomorrow Sunday, it means five days at home doing nothing and useless things (like creating and posting in this Blogspot for example :p). Ah, the spirit of a lazy bum... driving 10 km from home just to find out that there's no class today and then driving back another 15 km home. And it turns out that the reason the lecturer didn't come was because this is the first day of fasting, and so he must fast too. Okay, there's an "unwritten" rule that lecturers has the highest level in the campus hierarchy, so even if the campus said this is no holiday, if the lecturer says I don't wanna teach, then it's a holiday (yep, this is no holiday, only 2 classes are closed today, that lecturer's classes). Such a strange thing, no? Combined with the lazy attitudes of BOTH the lecturers AND the students, this thing oftenly happens everywhere round this country. And for myself, a student with an abode that is about 10 km far away from the campus, it becomes a nuisance having to drive 30 minutes to the campus, staying 10 minutes in the campus just to see the no-class announcement and then driving another 45 minutes back home (the return trip is farther and the path is more crowded). The lack of an online announcement board is beyond me. If someone would help me start a petition to make an online announcement board then I would gladly sign it, as that would help me by a LOT! Imagining: One morning, opening http://it.petra.ac.id/announce.html (note - imaginary link, do not try to open, you have been warned) and finding "oh, no class today... good, I can continue my rest then." I'm sure that all of you would loooove to have this kind of e-board on your campus, and I just remembered that back a few years ago when I played Final Fantasy VIII, I wished I can study in a place like Balamb Garden. Balamb oh Balamb... but it's all just a dream... ••• Saturday, October 25, 2003 ••• Hehe, these are the new images for the Love Storm Episode 2: Love Storm Episode 3 and 4 will be pictured on Saturday and Sunday, while the last Episode 5 will be pictured on next Thursday, ending in Vic Zhou's departure to Australia. Yes, yes, I can hear the F4 and Love Storm fans screaming now, just be patient guys, I will stop all this madness on the last Episode, promise! Oh, and the next series, Love Storm II is already planned to be created somewhere in next year, maybe about 6 months from now, the story takes over about 6 months from the original Love Storm story where Vic returns from Australia to visit Ken and Vivian again ;) ••• Saturday, October 25, 2003 ••• Finally done with the all-blue-ish design, and I will add some more features later if I feel like it (my template looks rather confusing now that I have added lotsa stuff in there). Man, my internet connection really troubles me lately during the day, it is only fast during night times. Blogger offers more customization but I wish they have some kind of offline Blogging Tool like Semagic for UJournal and LiveJournal, but I shouldn't complain. And yes, with the shoutbox I can notice increased traffic activity here compared to my old blog. I will add some more post later and I will regularly check up the shoutbox and the comments although I can't make sure I can post regularly. I don't have any class on these three days from Wednesday so I have a lot of free time for doing this. It took about 3 hours to finish all of this... The old blog on UJournal will remain open as I didn't get that one for free (had to run over to Ann to ask for invitation code and such). It will serve as history so people who haven't read that one like Q can still read that, and it will also be my backup blog, in case something happens with Blogspot (i.e. having downtimes or maintenances). It's a common thing to have more than one blog, ne? Ann had three (Xanga, Freakschool, UJournal) and Jessy had two (Xanga and Freakschool). Well, happy reading then, and keep on coming back for more ;) ••• Friday, October 24, 2003 ••• Because of UJournal's recent techical errors I have decided to move permanently to Blogspot (as many of you from 2kG have requested, now I'm moved here to be with you guys!) :p I will post more on this blog later, and meanwhile, enjoy this picture if you haven't seen it on my UJournal page: See you later with more posts guys! ••• Friday, October 24, 2003 ••• |
