In one hour, I will depart on my holiday with my family to Bali. I will be back on Monday, December 28, 2003 10 pm. I will not be able to post anything from there, so please wait until December 28 for the next post. Merry Christmas to you all, and happy holidays. May God bless you all. Also please pray for me, that I should not fall while I am away from my community. My only resources that I can bring with me are the Pocket Bible and some Daily Devotional series packed on my PDA. Those will have to be sufficient. He'll make it sufficient. ••• Thursday, December 25, 2003 ••• Imagine yourself one day sitting with God. In the table, there was an empty puzzle frame lying. You wondered what had God wanted to say through this, so you asked Him, "God, what is the meaning of this?". With His gentle voice, He answered, "Just wait and see, my child". He first took five puzzle pieces from a 1000-pieces puzzle box and put them in their places. "Can you see the picture?", He asked. And you answered, "Of course not". And yet He took another five puzzle pieces and asked the same question, and you answered no. One by one, He went with the puzzle pieces, and when the 999th piece is set, He asked, "Can you see what it is?". You answered, "I can start to see, but there's still one piece missing". And He put the final piece into the puzzle frame. What you saw was a beautiful picture of you and Him, enjoying your perfect moments together. You see the beauty of His hand's work, He never put a piece in a wrong place, not even once. You saw the breathtaking picture, and then you look at Him, and see Him smiling at you.... =) The puzzle frame is our life's frame. Sometimes, when God put down a piece of His plans in our life, we complained. Because we cannot see the full picture of what God is going to make through us, we complained and asked Him why does He let us suffer and why does He let us experience those and these things. Sometimes, we also complain too about God's placement of the pieces. We say that "this doesn't belong here" or "that belongs to me so don't take it away". Sometimes we went so far as to push the wrong piece ourselves into our life frames, and what do you get when you push by force a puzzle piece to a wrong place? A broken piece. We have to let God do His work in our life, because He knows the whole picture of our life, and we don't. If we surrender our lives to Him, He will gently put the pieces one by one into our life, and His placement is never wrong and He never fails. If we wait patiently enough for God to complete His plans, we will one day see the whole picture that He's planning to make all along in our life. And you can be sure that it's a beautiful plan He's carving for you. Do not fear about the future, if you feel that you cannot see where your life is heading to, pray to Him, and ask Him to do the puzzle for you. This is an important message, especially for Mee-a, Chees and Iyem. Will you let HIM do the puzzle? "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Rome 8:28, NKJV) ••• Thursday, December 25, 2003 ••• Morning friends, how are you doing? ^^ Today I am awakened at 4:55 am, by the slightest sound of my PDA's alarm, so my brother didn't have to be disturbed in his sleep today, hehe. I was very sleepy at first, but as I decided to fight off my drowsiness, Father showed me a great thing. The sky was painted by Him specially today for me ^O^. Wow, isn't that great? I've always said that our daily silent moment with God is a special VIP appointment with Him. What else can you call that? Jesus, the King of Heaven, Lord of Hosts, wants to have a special intimate moment with you each and every day where you can come to Him and have a nice chat with Him! Hehe, I feel sooo happy today and I feel sooo loved and I love Him sooo much :p It's as if this morning He's saying, "Nathan... Nathan... wake up! Here, here, come, I have something to show to you ^__^", while pointing to the sky. When I saw the sky, I couldn't hold myself from running down the stairs, taking my digital camera with me back upstairs and took snapshots of the sky. Here are the pics I took, I've posted it special for you, because when I saw the sky, I told Him, "LORD, I want to share this sky with my friends! I want to share to them that I have a GREAT GOD like none others. A God that so loved me and so majestic He has drawn out His hand to paint the sky for me today". Hey, maybe tomorrow YOU can post your sky photo at your blogs! I'd love to see that :p Photo Information #1 : Wow, look at the cloud! It's so beautiful, like a trail in the sky, a trail of God's finger that has drawn it for me... #2 : I love this one so much! It looks like a wallpaper that I have here! The cloud, the sunlight, it's so magnificent! #3 : This is an unused room in my house which have become my praying room lately. Look at the light reflection! #4 : I took this one after I have finished my silent time. The sun's up already, you can see it on the left side. Have a blessed day! I'll wait for you to post your morning sky ;p Iyem, Ipone, Chees, Freccia, Mee, Larry? C'mon! ••• Monday, December 22, 2003 ••• Hello everyone, how are you doing? =) Me, I'm just fine, I have just finished my first morning chat with God. Although I didn't manage to stay with Him for a long time today, because I don't know what to say, but it's a good experience, and I long to have deeper encounters with Him, to the point where He'll talk and I'll just listen, hehe ^^ Well, yesterday I had some questions whether all I have written in this blog were just my own mind and imagination playing creativity, but this morning it was answered this way: For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21) I also asked the same thing that some fellow friends here have ever asked. A blue sky and a rainless day. And I see a sky with a cloud formation just like a wallpaper I had before. And then I was reminded that He is the Creator and a Great Painter. For a while, I stood amazed, remembering all those sky wallpapers I have ever seen, and all these times I always thought they are digitally created. But NO, he is the Creator of all things. Making such a beatiful sky that is suitable to be snapped by photographers for a nice wallpaper isn't hard work for Him. Just look at these four snapshots, all of them are natural photos. Be amazed, friends, cause our God is a great artist! From the left to right: Windmills in the morning, taken in Holland - Morning sky in Bangkok - Morning sky in somewhere (location not stated in the photo) - Morning sky in a Canadian lake. Magnificent skies, aren't they? =) ••• Sunday, December 21, 2003 ••• |
